THE COVER OF MY NOVEL IS HERE
For a good while, this blog has been about being Swiss in Japan. Today I’ve got something a bit different to show you.
I’ve written a novel. It’s called Love, Secrets, and a Plate of Sushi, it’s a romantic comedy, and, as you’d expect from someone writing what he knows, it starts in Switzerland, wanders off to England and ends up in Japan. It’s loosely inspired by real life. How loosely, I’m not saying.
Which brings me to this weekend’s news: the cover.

It's the work of Victoria Heath Silk, who managed to fit three countries onto one page. Two hands, one cup of tea, one plate of sushi: that’s England and Japan before you’ve opened the book. Switzerland is harder to fit on a plate, so it’s hiding. Look closely at the chopsticks.
The first chapter is free. If you’d like to see how Tom’s first morning at Zurich Airport goes (it involves a van, a jumbo jet and some very poor judgement), sign up at rkarnold.com and it’ll arrive straight away. You’ll also hear about the launch before anyone else.
Want to read the whole book before it's published? Free advance copies go out in November.
